Q: What is Artists of the South Okanagan-Similkameen?
A: Artists of the South Okanagan-Similkameen is an umbrella organization that includes both independent, local artists and members of the Federation of Canadian Artists - South Okanagan-Similkameen chapter.
What is the FCA?
A: The Federation of Canadian Artists is a national organization dedicated to advancing the knowledge and appreciation of art and culture to all Canadians, offering education, exhibition and communication in the visual arts, and to support and promote emerging to professional member artists. Q: How many members do you have?
A: As of April 2026, we have 117 members from Summerland, Penticton, Naramata, Kaleden, Okanagan Falls, Oliver, Osoyoos, Keremeos, Cawston, Princeton and Rock Creek.
Q: What is the FCA-SOS?
A: FCA South Okanagan-Similkameen (FCA-SOS) is a chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists.

Q: What are the benefits of membership?
A: There are a number of benefits to being a member, including opportunities to exhibit your art in FCA-endorsed exhibitions and local shows, professional development through workshops and demonstrations and networking and mentorship opportunities with fellow artist-members. As a member you also have the opportunity to promote your artwork and learn more about art and culture in our area.

A: Our monthly meetings are held at the Penticton Art Gallery, which is located at 199 Marina Way in Penticton.
