Ann Boldt
FCA Exhibiting
Ann Boldt is an avid Watercolour Painter & Nature Explorer, living in the Okanagan. She is greatly influenced by the Canadian outdoors. Each adventure gives her an appreciation for the Art of life. A stunning photograph captured in the beauty of the moment, always begins every art process. Then with Watercolour washes she continues her vision with Watercolour pencils & paint. Her location photographs represent truly iconic Canadian Landscapes - the Okanagan, British Columbia, Alberta’s Rocky Mountains, Ontario’s Muskoka and Algonquin Park Regions.
As an exhibiting member of the Federation of Canadian Artists & the South Okanagan-Similkameen Chapter, 2025 was an amazing year with her Juried Artwork “Fall Splendour” included in the “2025 Abstracted” Exhibition, at the Federation Gallery, Granville Island BC. “Bala Cranberry Marsh” was also recognized, and displayed online at The FederationGallery.com. What an achievement to be included with such a select group of Artists.
Then in 2026, The Summerland Art Gallery proudly displayed "Fall Splendour" until Ann received an Honourable Mention for her FCA Proudly Canadian Entry "Waters Edge Steamships" in July. So wonderful to be recognized again. This Watercolour showcases the Segwun & Wenonah II, luxury passenger vessels from the same era as SS Sicamous, representing our Maritime History of Canada. A true “Proudly Canadian” moment, as described by the Artist "I was surrounded by the Sounds of Nature - windswept pines, eerie loon calls & the calming lap of the water."
This Fall 2026 on Nov 12, 13 & 14 the Penticton Art Gallery will be hosting Okanagan Watercolours to teach a 3-day Beginner & Intermediate Watercolour Class. Grab your paints, bring your brushes & check it out. Sign up now, the space is limited. Learn how easy it is to make gorgeous watercolour washes!
