Carla Leinweber

Carla Leinweber is a retired visual arts educator currently living in Okanagan Falls.Her pieces (2 & 3D) involve a full spectrum of media & themes in which she strives to push the possibilities of combinations of unlike materials together.                

As a visual arts specialist with the C.B.E. she lectured & presented workshops on fine arts locally & provincially. She represented the province on the Teachers’ Fine Arts Council & was an author for the National Canadian Society for Education Through Art magazine. Carla also co- authored curricula for Global Education as well as exhibiting in galleries in Alberta & throughout B.C. As her days of instruction are behind her,she currently looks forward to new media/ processes to investigate.

After having worked with gourds for the last 25 years, she has been introduced to the Encaustic process & hand felting exploration. Carla anticipates to work in the combination of these 3 medium in future artworks.
